Welcome to SACC

As we begin a New Year, we are most thankful and grateful to God for His continued providential care, and look forward to the development and growth He has planned for us in the days to come.

Salt And Light

is our theme for 2018. Drawing from Matthew 5:13-16, the call for the year is for us to live out the Word of God and function as believers in our everyday life, thereby bearing witnesses to the goodness and glory of God.
It is our prayer that this would have a positive spiritual and moral impact on our families, friends, workplace and community; such that more may come to know and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour!

Thank you for dropping in on our website! We do hope you will also find some time to drop in on our church and its various services and events!

Being salt and light in this fast-paced, and demanding world can become a challenge, and a stress-factor, rather than a joy and a delight. However, the OT wisdom literature presents a very different perspective. Arthur E. Zannoni wrote, “The wise in Ancient Israel characteristically appreciate life, value life, love and enjoy it. They appropriate the best learning, newest knowledge, and most ingenious cultural achievements.” Being salt and light requires us to embrace such divine wisdom for life. Join this short course to have a taste of ancient wisdom, through a brief overview of Proverbs, Job, and Ecclesiastes, and find relevance in our world today.

What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe and have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.

Whether it’s a group of friends gathered around a kitchen table, or a quick catch up over coffee and cake, food has a way of bringing people together. It’s no different at Alpha. All sessions start with dinner because it’s a great way to get to know each other.

The talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us?

Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

SACC’s very first young adults retreat is happening this June!

Keeping in line with the church’s theme for this year – Salt and Light, we will be focusing on practical aspects of evangelism.
