A WORD FROM OUR VICAR

Hello! Thank you for dropping by our website to check us out!

In brief, we are a fellowship of Bible-believers who gather in Simei, as part of a group of churches under the Diocese of Singapore. As an Anglican church, our Sunday services encompass both traditional liturgy and contemporary songs in a blended worship format. Complementing this are ministries catering to, among others, both the English and Mandarin speaking, the young and the evergreen, men and women, locals and migrants.

We believe and are deeply committed to the Word of God, its study and application in our lives. We believe too in the present reality of the Fruit and Gifts of the Holy Spirit; and have ongoing works to proclaim the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ both locally and overseas. We are committed to the care of one another and the community in which our Lord has placed us to minister; and to the deepening of our personal relationship and walk with our Lord God.

We are not a perfect community, just one living under and thankful for the grace of our Lord God, seeking every day to be the best we can be for Him and His glory. Our prayer?

(T)he equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:12-13)

Do browse through the rest of our website, dear friend. I, along with the rest of our staff team, leaders and members do so look forward to your engagement with us and participation in our various events and fellowships.

Shalom!

OUR STORY

St Andrew's Community Chapel is a community of faith rooted in the love of God. We believe worship is not just found in prayer, it’s something expressed in everything we do. Our philosophy is deeply rooted in the Holy Scriptures, life’s only guidebook. Come and join us to experience God’s grace for yourself. There’s a special place for you at our welcoming church.

A CHURCH THAT IS

HISTORIC

St. Andrew’s Community Chapel (SACC) was launched as an extensions of St. Andrew’s Cathedral and All Saints’ Church. On 22 May 2003, SACC become a full-fledged parish of the Anglican Diocese of Singapore, with both English and Mandarin Congregations.

INTER-GENERATIONAL

As we grow, we seek to cater to the needs of all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens. At present, we have groups and programmes for:
-Children aged 3-12
-Youth aged 13-24
-Young adults aged 25-35
-Adults aged 36 and above

PURPOSE DRIVEN

We believe that balance on the essentials is the key to health.

Which is why we center ourselves around all five of God’s purposes for the church:

-In WORSHIP (MAGNIFICATION)
declare and display God’s glory
-In FELLOWSHIP (MEMBERSHIP)
draw closer with God’s family
-In DISCIPLESHIP (MATURITY)
develop our potential to be a blessing to others
-In SERVICE (MINISTRY)
develop our potential to be a blessing to others
-In EVANGELISM (MISSIONS)
deliver the message of God’s love to the entire world

COMMUNITY-MINDED

We are called as a church to service the
community in three ways:

  1. As a chapel of the St. Andrew’s Community Hospital, Simei to support the patients and their family members in the recovery process.

  2. As a caring organization, to meet whatever needs we can, in families in the Simei, Tampines, Pasir Ris, and beyond.

  3. As a Christian faith community, to help people find strength, inspiration, and guidance in Christ, for a meaningful life in our society today.
